Real Estate

Emily Marchese began her real estate career in 2003. “I had just recently graduated college, ”Emily recalls. “My father was a retired fireman, and he was selling real estate part-time. I was in the life insurance business at the time, and I liked it, but I wanted to get into real estate because selling the American dream is much more fun!” The rest is history, and throughout her 18 years in real estate, Emily has been helping her clients achieve their real estate goals. With Keller Williams Jersey Shore, Emily and her team specialize in serving Atlantic and Cape May counties.

They have also recently started expanding into Gloucester, Burlington, and Camden counties as well, so that they now service all of the South Jersey area. Emily is one of the owners at Keller Williams, and spearheaded the opening of the Keller Williams Margate, NJ location when she was recruited from RE/MAX in 2016. She became a partner with Keller Williams to open their location at8510 Ventnor Ave, Margate NJ 08402. “Since then, I have recruited over 40 agents to our company who have locations in Margate, Ocean City, Sea Isle, Avalon, and Wildwood Crest,” Emily says. “I recently stepped out of the Margate Broker-Manager role to be the Productivity Coach, which involves training and coaching all of our newly licensed agents to help them make money right away.”

About 70% of Emily’s business comes from repeat and referral clients, an impressive feat that speaks to the trust and confidence she inspires. “Our main focus  is on the client experience, and making sure that we’re really wowing the client from start to finish,” she says. “On average, when I take a listing, I get a 9% higher sales price for my clients
because of my marketing approach, launch phase, and exposure online to the largest targeted buying audience.”

This attention to the client sets Emily and her team apart. “We work on understanding our clients’ needs and identifying the best fit for them,” she explains. “Through the process, we make sure the communication lines are wide open and the clients are fully informed, right up until they get to the closing table.”

Staying in touch with past clients comes naturally to Emily. “One of the things that really set us apart are our client events,” she says. “Our clients love to come to our events, which we try to hold at least once a quarter. We get together with past clients and make it a family-oriented experience, because I like to think of my clients as my family.” The events include everything from pumpkin picking
and pie giveaways to Phillies games.

When it comes to marketing her listings, Emily invests in making sure a home looks its best to stand out online. “The most important part of marketing for us is in the launch day,” Emily says. “We work with a professional photographer who has special lenses and equipment that allow him to capture small spaces without distorting the photography. The first impression is now made on the internet, so the most important part of the process is preparing the marketing and the launch day to get the most online exposure possible.”

Community involvement is important to Emily and the team, and they donate a portion of every closing to KW Cares. They also volunteer their time helping rebuild houses on the Gulf Coast, and during Covid they reached out to everyone in their database to see  how they could help. “One of our founding principles is to give back,” Emily says.

Looking ahead, Emily says, “I’m really excited for the future, and being able to help people find the perfect home for them. Covid has
changed the industry so much overall, and more and more people are working successfully from home. I think it gives them extra quality of life, more time with their families, and less commuting time. I think there will be a lot of changes over the next few years, and I’m excited to be a part of that.”
